Five candidates have filed for three open seats on the Twentynine Palms Water Board. But because incumbent Phil Cisneros did not file for re-election to a sixth term, the deadline for filing has been extended to Wednesday for any candidate other than the incumbent. The candidates who have filed to run for the three open seats are Chancey Chambers, Judy Hinson, Anita Horn, Paul Hornback, and Roger Shinaver. Voters within the Twentynine Palms Water District will be able to vote on board seats in a special bail ballot election ending August 27. For more information call 909-387-8300.
