First “Tetrapak Intaglio” Printing Workshop taking place at Hi-Desert Nature Museum on Friday (4/17)
The Hi-Desert Nature Museum invites creators of the Morongo Basin to see inspiration where others see trash during their upcoming Tetrapak Intaglio Printing workshops.
Tetrapak Intaglio printing is an eco-friendly twist on a traditional printmaking method that elevates discarded food packaging into a visually expressive printing plate able to produce finely detailed images in a range of tones and textures.
These workshops aim to accommodate artists of all skill levels. Participants new to printmaking will get a crash course in the basics of drypoint engraving and learn how to print using an etching press.

There are two opportunities to dive into the world of Tetrapak Intaglio printing with workshops scheduled on Friday, April 17 and Friday, May 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. Workshop size is limited to ensure each participant gets individualized instruction and guidance from an experienced printmaker.
Registration is $20 per participant. The museum will provide all the tools and materials one needs for the workshop to make their vision reality.
Visit the Museum’s website at www.hidesertnaturemuseum.org for more information or to register for the workshop.
