The Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital on board the Combat Center in Twentynine Palms welcomed its first baby of 2021 into the world at 19 minutes past midnight on January 2. Baby girl Nami, born to Jimmy and Rinko Samonn, weighed in at nine pounds and was 20.86 inches in length. Nami is the couple’s first child. Staff Sgt. Jimmy Samonn is assigned to the Maine Corps Communication-Electronics School. The couple has been married for two years and met when Staff Sgt. Samonn was stationed in Okinawa.
