The critically successful Joshua Tree Summer Theatre Under the Stars series meets its conclusion with “Eyeless in Colonus,” a new play by Palm Springs playwright Bruce Bonafede, under the direction of Howard Shangraw. The play reimagines the death of King Oedipus, now a blind beggar. In this modern retelling of the Oedipus story, the former King of Thebes arrives at a hidden grove in Colonus, near Athens, where he prepares to accept his fate. Featured performers are Benjamin Bees, Kurt Schauppner, and Mackenzie Naylor. This production runs August 6-15 at 8:15 p.m. For tickets, go online to www.windwalkersmedicinewheel.com. or call 626-233-4768.
