FIREFIGHTERS SAVE MOBILE HOME IN YUCCA VALLEY

Firefighters were able to save most of a mobile home and its contents from a fire in Yucca Valley Monday afternoon. According to County Fire Battalion Chief Bob Evans, the fire started in a shed in the Burnt Mountain Mobile Home Park in the 7800 block of Valley Vista about 4:40 p.m. Due to very windy conditions, the flames spread to an adjacent shed and a mobile home. Crews arrived to find heavy fire in the back of the home; a neighboring mobile home was threatened by the blaze, and power lines in the rear were dropping and were a threat to fire crews. Firefighters were able to stop the spread and save the home and its contents from complete destruction. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
