FIREFIGHTERS COLLECTING TOYS FOR NEEDY CHILDREN

1

Morongo Basin firefighters will be collecting toys to distribute to needy children. Boxes where residents can drop off toys will be in local businesses, banks, and mobile home parks, including at the Z107.7 studio in Joshua Tree. In addition, Walmart will host a “stuff the truck” event at the store to collect toys for firefighters to distribute. Firefighters will be at Walmart for the next two weekends; on Fridays, from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturdays 1 to 5, and Sundays, noon to 5, through December 15 to collect monetary donations and new toys. Toys for both boys and girls up to age 17 should be valued at $20 or less.
