A Yucca Valley home suffered significant damage from a fire Saturday evening. Shortly before 5 p.m., a neighbor called 911 after seeing smoke and flames coming from a bedroom window of a home in the 6400 block of Manzanita. Firefighters from Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Morongo Valley, and the Combat Center responded. The front bedroom where the smoke and flames were seen was completely destroyed; the rest of the home suffered significant smoke and heat damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
