Copper Mountain College Fire Technology Club hosts an Open House from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 9, at the Lear Fire Station in the Desert Heights area of Twentynine Palms. Visitors of all ages are promised a fun and interesting experience. Witness a live fire demonstration, try on firefighter gear, check your blood pressure, and participate in basic CPR training. The event offers an opportunity to learn how CMC is preparing students for careers in fire technology, nursing and as an EMT. It’s all free, even the barbecue. More information at 760-366-3791.
