Morongo Valley’s proposed fire tax will be the topic of discussion at a special, town-hall type meeting of the Morongo Valley Community Services District. The community is invited to the question and answer format meeting at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, March 26, in the Community Building’s Multipurpose Room on the edge of Covington Park in Morongo Valley. The district has proposed a flat $350 annual per parcel fire fee to keep the Fire Department there operational at current service levels. Voters will have an opportunity to vote on the proposal in the June 7 presidential primary.
