FIRE RESTRICTIONS IN NEARBY NATIONAL FOREST AREAS

Due to recent fires and the lack of availability of firefighters, officials with the San Bernardino National Forest have imposed fire restrictions. With the details, here’s managing editor Tami Roleff…
As of Monday, July 16, officials have put fire restrictions in place on campfires and barbecues in San Bernardino National Forest. No campfires or barbecues are allowed outside certain picnic areas and campsites. Those with California Campfire Permits are not exempt from the bans. Smoking is allowed only within enclosed vehicles or developed recreation sites. Visitors are reminded to make sure campfires are completely out before leaving. Motorcycles, ATVs, and chain saws require a spark arrestor. Avoid driving vehicles or parking on brush or grass and make sure chains are not dragging while towing.
