Morongo Valley firefighters also responded to a power pole fire just after midnight last night. Morongo Valley Fire Engineer Ryan Murphy said the power was surging and caused a fire, which led to a power outage in parts of the Morongo Basin. Southern California Edison says the rain caused power outages in at least five areas in the Morongo Basin.
