The Yucca Valley Town Council has a full agenda for its regular meeting tonight. Managing editor Tami Roleff says the council will hear about the county’s proposed fire fee, the school district’s new bond measure, the gas tax, and more…
At tonight’s regular meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, council members will hear a report from the County fire department about the expansion of service zone FP-5, which will add about $157 to property tax owners in areas throughout the county. The fire report will be followed by a report from the school district about its Measure O bond, that will raise money for school renovations and repairs. Also on the agenda, the council will hear a department report about the gas tax, and its effect on town infrastructure projects, and how it will affect the town if it’s repealed.
Council members will also hear a report on a point in time count of homelessness and be asked to approve $1,000 for Morongo Basin Haven. And finally, the council will hear a report on a county-wide community indicators report, kind of a state of the county report. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
