FIRE DESTROYS TRAVEL TRAILER IN PIONEERTOWN THURSDAY

A travel trailer being towed went up in flames Thursday. According to County Fire Battalion Chief Bob Evans, the 20-foot travel trailer was being towed on Pioneertown Road, near Short Road, when it began to smoke, and then ignited about 6:20 p.m. The flames spread to nearby vegetation, but firefighters were able to keep the spread to a small area. The trailer is a complete loss, and the cause of the blaze is unknown.
