FIRE DESTROYS MOTORHOME IN WONDER VALLEY WEDNESDAY NIGHT

County arson investigators were called to Wonder Valley last night for a suspicious fire that destroyed a motorhome and a portion of a house. According to County Fire Battalion Chief Donnie Viloria, firefighters from Wonder Valley, Twentynine Palms, and the Combat Center were called about 8:30 p.m. to the 8000 block of Brown Road for a motorhome fire. While firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire, the flames had spread to the house’s eaves and west wall. The motorhome was a total loss; the firefighters were able to save the house except for the one wall. Viloria said the house was unoccupied, but the residents were in the process of moving into it. The cause of the fire is unknown; residents told firefighters that they had not been working on the motorhome and there was no electricity to it either.
