A fire in north Joshua Tree yesterday completely destroyed a motor home, storage sheds and two vehicles. According to Fire Captain Scott Tuttle, firefighters from Joshua Tree, Yucca Mesa, and the Lear Avenue fire station in Twentynine Palms were called at 5:30 p.m. to a motor home fire at Coyote Valley Road and Daisy Lane. The resident was living in the motor home, where the fire started; Tuttle said the resident got out of the motor home safely. Yesterday’s strong winds quickly spread the blaze to a nearby storage building and a van and small Ford truck, which were all fully involved when firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
