A Yucca Valley business was damaged by fire Wednesday morning (September 29). According to San Bernardino County Fire Battalion Chief Mike McClintock, Fire crews were called to a business in the 56000 block of Twentynine Palms Highway in Yucca Valley around 11:45 a.m. by multiple 911 callers reporting smoke coming from the store. Crews arrived at the single-story commercial property to find smoke and fire in the rear of the building and downed energized power lines. Crews mounted an offensive fire attack from inside the building and on the roof to stop the fire. The fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes. Crews then searched the building and found no victims. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
