Salton Sea Stories aims to capture the optimism of the Salton Sea in the 1960s as a thriving recreational area with campgrounds, a yacht club, and sunbathers through the recently rediscovered photos by vaudeville star-turned-photographer George Mann. The exhibit will also tell the story of Helen Burns, “Queen of the Salton Sea” and her now disappeared Salton Sea Beach house landmark, as told by her daughter Donna Burns Kennedy.
