Mil-Tree, in partnership with the Joshua Tree Folk School at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center, have been hard at work constructing their latest project: a Community Potting Shed. Reporter Mike Lipsitz says this is the final weekend to help out…

Veterans, active duty, and civilians aim to work together three weekends in June. They’re building a potting shed adjacent to a future community garden at the Joshua Tree Retreat Center. It happens from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13, June 19 and 20, and June 26 and 27. Get to know new neighbors and make new friends at this Covid-aware, outdoor project. Families are welcome, but this is not a project for small children. Mil-Tree’s mission is to bring veterans, active duty, and civilians together to help transform the wounds of war.
