The County Registrar of Voters released Friday the final results of the Twentynine Palms Water District mail ballot election. Three candidates were vying for two seats on the water district board. With only 18 percent of registered voters in Twentynine Palms participating, newcomer Michael Arthur garnered the most votes, with 893, for almost 46 percent of the votes cast. Coming in second was Carol Giannini, with 647 votes, for 33 percent. Neal Stephenson came in third with 406 votes, or about 21 percent of the votes cast. Arthur and Giannini will be sworn in at a future meeting.
