The state-mandated redistricting of Twentynine Palms will be a main topic at tonight’s city council meeting as the fourth required public hearing takes place. There will be a presentation by National Demographics Corporation and a discussion on the five proposed maps. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input.

The public hearing will be followed by a discussion on expenses for a Type 2 bike path beginning at Utah Trail and ending at Sunmore Parkway. The nearly 6,000-foot bike path project was scheduled two years ago but it became delayed due to the pandemic.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 6136 Adobe Road, and can be livestreamed or viewed on-demand via the city’s website, 29palms.org.
