FILING PERIOD TO RUN FOR TWENTYNINE PALMS WATER BOARD OPENS TODAY

The Twentynine Palms Water District’s Board of Directors will be filling three seats in a mail-in election in August. Five-time board member Phil Cisneros has announced that he will not run for a sixth term, leaving his seat empty. The seats of incumbents Roger Shinaver and Chancey Chambers will also be up for grabs. The filing period for the three seats begins today, May 6, and ends May 31. Water district voters will receive their ballots in the mail and must mail them to the County Registrar of Voters by August 27.
