If you live in Twentynine Palms and dream of serving on the City Council, here’s your chance; two seats are up for grabs on the November 8 ballot. Both four-year seats, they are currently occupied by Joel Klink and Cora Heiser. Any registered voters living within the city can “pull” nomination papers beginning Monday, July 18 at the city clerk’s office in City Hall. The last day to file is Friday, August 12, unless an incumbent doesn’t run in which case the deadline will be extended by a week.
