Felon with warrant arrested for suspected assault weapon possession in Twentynine Palms

A convicted felon with an active warrant was arrested in Twentynine Palms for suspicion of possessing an assault weapon and ammunition.

On Tuesday (July 16) at 2:30 p.m., County Sheriff’s deputies working with the State Parole Fugitive Task Force contacted Dakota Blaise-Parra, 25, in the 6400 block of East Court Avenue in Twentynine Palms.

Blaise-Barra was being sought on an active warrant for violating parole, and has been convicted of numerous violent and weapons-based felonies over the last seven years.

The Sheriff’s Department says that Blaise-Parra was found to be in possession of an illegal assault rifle, along with multiple rounds of ammunition which were located in illegal extended assault rifle magazines.

Dakota Blaise-Parra was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and parole violations, and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail.
