A convicted felon who has pleaded guilty to domestic assault is being sentenced in San Bernardino County’s Joshua Tree Court today (February 15.)
Andrew Anderson, 40, was arrested in June for charges related to carjacking and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse. He has been arrested several times in the past for violent crimes including and for allegedly trying to stab a man at the Yucca Valley Applebee’s in 2015 and for being a felon in possession of a firearm in Landers in 2021.
Anderson was most recently arrested for possession of a controlled substance in Joshua Tree on February 9.
Anderson entered a plea of “guilty” to felony charges related to inflicting corporal injury on a spouse, date or cohabitant, with charges of carjacking and enhancements for prior felony convictions being dismissed in Joshua Tree Court.
Anderson is expected to be sentenced at a hearing today in Joshua Tree.
