Felon on active Riverside County warrant arrested in Twentynine Palms with suspected drugs and ammo

On Wednesday (October 9), County Sheriff’s deputies with the Morongo Basin Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Twentynine Palms Highway near Clare Ave in Twentynine Palms.

Deputies identified the driver of the vehicle as Coy Tinker, 29, a felon convicted of robbery and car theft. Deputies say that Tinker was in possession of ammunition and suspected methamphetamine. As a convicted felon, Tinker is prohibited from possessing weapons or ammunition. He was also found to have an active warrant in Riverside County for receiving stolen property.

Coy Tinker was arrested for investigation into being a felon in possession of ammunition and controlled substances, and booked into the West Valley Detention Center on $30,000. The Riverside Sheriff’s Department was also notified that he was taken into custody.
