FAMILY FIGHT ESCALATES TO ATTEMPTED MURDER IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

A family fight that got out of control resulted in a Twentynine Palms man being arrested for attempted murder Monday, and his wife arrested for battery. According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Derrick Garvin, deputies were called to a home in the 6300 block of Yucca Avenue where they found Victor Guerra, 29, armed with a knife and a hammer, had been chasing family members. Guerra was uncooperative with deputies and was tased, after which he was arrested for investigation of attempted murder. He was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $1 million. His wife, Tisha Guerra, was also arrested for investigation of battery.
