Thanks to the power of Facebook, a stolen trailer was returned to its rightful owner Thursday (April 8). A resident in the 1000 block of South Cambria Avenue in Landers called to report a dump truck trailer had been abandoned in a wash nearby. The resident posted a photo of the trailer on Facebook and the owner was soon alerted that it had been found. The Sheriff’s Department said the license plates had been switched with another stolen trailer, but deputies notified the owner who was able to retrieve the trailer.
