Morongo Basin residents may hear more noise than usual from the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms over the next month. The Marine Corps will be conducting two exercises: integrated training exercise and a large-scale exercise. These exercises are comprised of intensive training for 3,500 active duty and reserve Marines that includes live-fire exercises to improve the war-fighting skills of Marines and to help them understand the principles and capabilities of the Marine Corps Air-Ground Task Force.
