ENTERTAINMENT SOUGHT FOR TWENTYNINE PALMS’ PIONEER DAYS

Entertainers are being sought for this year’s Twentynine Palms Pioneer Days Z107.7 entertainment stage. Pioneer Days is a yearly celebration hosted by the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce. It will be held from Thursday, October 16, through Sunday, October 19, on the grounds of the scenic and historic Luckie Park, along with a host of ancillary events put on by groups and organizations throughout the City of Twentynine Palms. The entertainment stage will open immediately following the Pioneer Days Parade up Adobe Road starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and run through 6:00 p.m. The headline entertainment from noon until 3:00 p.m. is “The Whisky Blues Band,” consisting of five local residents: Donny Nelson, Claude Markham, John Burdick, Robert Smith, and Leigh-Anne Sullivan. The band performs classic rock, southern rock, and country. Groups and individuals are welcome to apply to be part of the entertainment lineup. Those interested in becoming part of the daytime volunteer entertainment line-up can contact Entertainment Chair Gary Daigneault at Z107.7, 760-366-8471. Vendors and non-profit groups who would like to have a booth offering games, food, fun, and information at the Pioneer Days events are also being sought. To sign up for a booth, applications are available at www.29chamber.org or contact Cynthia Truitt at the Twentynine Palms Chamber of Commerce at 760-367-3445.
