Today is the first Saturday of the month, and that means it’s time for Art Cruise 29!—the monthly art crawl through the galleries in Twentynine Palms. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information about the five Twentynine Palms art galleries and what’s on display this month…
The Art-O-Motive Gallery, located on the corner of 29 Palms Highway and National Park Drive, is open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features a variety of 3-dimensional works. The 29 Palms Visitors Center, on the highway in downtown Twentynine Palms, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with its show, “Cold Days, Warms Hearts.” The 29 Palms Art Gallery on Cottonwood Drive opens at 11 a.m. and will hold its reception with refreshments from 5 to 7 p.m. Featured this month are painters Robert Arnett and Hiroko Momii. The 29 Palms Creative Center on Adobe Road will feature art activities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. And the Glass Outhouse Art Gallery, located five miles east of Twentynine Palms on Highway 62, will have an art reception from 1 to 5 p.m. Featured artists are Valerie Hastie and Abby Farver, along with live music by Larry and Linda.
