The two international energy experts will open the Morongo Basin Conservation Association’s 50th Anniversary Meeting & Energy Summit at 10 a.m. this Saturday at the Yucca Valley Community Center. Following the keynote presentations and light refreshments, local “green” educator Cindy Zacks will introduce a small panel of regional environmental leaders who will share their “Visions for the next 50 years.” Saturday’s program, which is free and open to the public, will launch a year of activism and events as the Morongo Basin Conservation Association celebrates a half century of advocating for a healthy desert environment. Q&A periods will follow both the 10 a.m. presentation and midday panel discussion.
