The Copper Mountain College foundation is inviting the public to the groundbreaking ceremony of the college’s 20th Anniversary Alternative Energy Project. Ernest Figueroa has the back story on the project…
Susan Luckie Reilly, a life-long conservationist and founder of the Morongo Basin Conservation Association, passed away in 2017 at the age of 101. Among the legacies she left behind was a $500,000 donation to Copper Mountain College for a solar energy project. The college is using those funds towards their 20th Anniversary Alternative Energy Project. The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the project on Wednesday (June 30) at 8 a.m. in the College’s 300 Quad (6162 Rotary Way). Attendees will be served free breakfast and can take part in a brief Q&A session on the project.
