ELDER OREGON COUPLE MISSING SINCE JULY 6 FOUND ALIVE AND WELL IN TWENTYNINE PALMS

An elderly couple suffering from dementia, who went missing from their home in Oregon in early July, were found alive and well in Twentynine Palms Wednesday (July 14). According to a Sheriff’s press release, deputies were called to the Twentynine Palms Marine Base at the 3400 block of Adobe Road at 4:49 p.m. for a report that two critical missing adults had been located. Deputies arrived and contacted Fred Coyle, 80, and Bonnie Coyle 90, who had last been seen at their home in Klamath, Oregon on Tuesday, July 6. The couple had been listed as critical missing persons due to their age and dementia diagnosis. The couple told deputies that they did not know where they were or how they had gotten to Twentynine Palms. Deputies transported the couple to the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station where deputies contacted a family member in Oregon and arranged for him to take custody of the couple.
