The 29 Palms Ministerial Association will host a Community Good Friday service on Friday (April 15) at noon at Little Church of the Desert, 6079 Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms, with a thematic focus on and fundraising in support of homelessness outreach. On Saturday (April 16,) the town of Yucca Valley will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Yucca Valley Community Soccer Field. The candy- and prize-filled egg hunt is open to children ages 8 and under, with a special area for toddlers. Photographs will be available with the Easter Bunny, and there will be a jelly bean counting contest. This free event begins promptly at 9 a.m. On Easter Sunday (April 17,) the Joshua Tree Lighthouse Christian Center will provide a free Easter breakfast at 9:30 a.m. The Lighthouse Christian Center is located at 5475 Sunburst St in Joshua Tree.
Also happening tomorrow (April 15), is the Way Station’s Annual Easter Food Giveaway The gate opens at 8 a.m. and residents are invited to come for hams, turkeys, fresh produce, canned goods, and eggs. Also available are Easter baskets for the kids and live music. No ID or proof of residency is required and a continental breakfast will also be served.
