The Town of Yucca Valley is scheduled to host their annual, free Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center soccer field. The hunt for candy-filled eggs and special prizes is open to children ages 8 and under with separate hunting areas for the age groups of 3 year olds, 4 to 5 year olds, and 6 to 8 year olds. Parents will be allowed to assist participants in the “Lil’ Hoppers Zone” for toddlers ages three and under. After the Easter Egg Hunt, participants are welcome to enter contests including “Guess How Many Jelly Beans” and “Name the Bunny”. Recreation staff and Town of Yucca Valley Youth Commissioners will be on hand to paint whiskers on the kids; parents are encouraged to bring a camera for photographs with the Easter Bunny! For more information call 760-369-7211.

Tomorrow, Saturday April 4, promptly at 9:00 a.m., the sound of the horn will signal the start of the Joshua Tree Community Center’s 48th Annual Egg Hunt. Bring your own basket; six egg hunt areas are divided by age group. Special prize eggs will be redeemed at the community center window. To keep unwanted plastic eggs from going to the land fill, they will collect them. A photographer will be on hand to take your picture with the Easter Bunny.

The Twentynine Palms Fire Department will host the annual Easter Egg Hunt, 1 p.m. Sunday, April 5, at Luckie Park, on the upper baseball fields. The Easter egg hunt is open to children up to 7 years old. Firefighters, Fire Explorers, Sparky, and the Easter Bunny will be available for pictures during the event.
