Morongo Basin residents headed into the Coachella Valley will have to take a detour today. About 9:45 p.m. last night, a big rig truck, hauling a crane, got stuck on the connecting overpass from Highway 62 onto eastbound Interstate 10. The entire connecting bridge is blocked. Travelers should detour at either Indian Canyon, Pierson or Dillon Road to eastbound 10. Westbound 10 traffic is not affected. According to the California Highway Patrol, it will take most of the day to get the truck off the bridge.
