Earth Day celebrations and programs are going on across the Morongo Basin all week. Reporter Mike Lipsitz joins us again with a program by the Mojave Desert Land Trust at Copper Mountain College…
The Mojave Desert Land Trust, through able leadership and a program of strategic land acquisition, has perfected what is probably this area’s most successful model for protecting the desert ecosystem and its scenic and cultural resources here. Land Trust Executive Director, Danielle Segura, offers an insider’s look at the successful nonprofit in an Earth Day presentation Thursday, April 23 beginning at noon in the Bell Center Community Room on the Cooper Mountain College Campus in Joshua Tree. Hosted by the Desert Avengers Club, the presentation is free and open to the public. Segura has 25 years of nonprofit management experience including positions at Idyllwild Arts and LifeStream Foundation. For more information call 760-366-3791.
