Celebrate Earth Day during a festival in Yucca Valley Saturday. The Hi-Desert Nature Museum will celebrate Earth Day with a day of activities and entertainment. Local experts will give demonstrations on composting, gardening with California native plants, growing your own food, and recycling. Local artists will offer jewelry and hand-made crafts for sale. Live music starts at 9 with Ahm-Rita-Krippa, Shadow Mountain Band, and Machin’. This family-oriented event includes kids’ activities, face painting, dance performances, food, and more. The Earth Day festivities run from 9 to 2 in the Yucca Valley Community Center courtyard, and Z1077’s own Gary and Cindy Daigneault will broadcast live from the event. Admission is free.
