Yucca Valley’s 2013 Earth Day Fair will take place on Saturday, April 20, at the Town of Yucca Valley’s Community Center Complex. Festivities will commence at 9 a.m. and will conclude at 2 p.m. Admission is FREE! Nature organizations attending the Hi-Desert Nature Museum’s Earth Day Conservation Fair include Joshua Tree National Park, Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, Wildlands Conservancy, Morongo Basin Conservation Association, and many more.

More than 20 local artists will be displaying jewelry and artwork inspired by our desert environment. A face painter and kids’ hands-on crafts will be available for younger visitors. The entertainment lineup includes Native American contemporary jazz by The Rushingwind Project; Brilliant Dance; the old-time bluegrass of the Shadow Mountain Band; Strawberry Butterfly, a tribal style dance troupe; and the folk music of Richard and Mary. This event is made possible through the support of the Town of Yucca Valley and the Mojave Desert and Mountain Recycling Authority.
