EARLY MORNING MOBILE HOME FIRE IN JOSHUA TREE WEDNESDAY

San Bernardino County Fire also responded to an early morning structure fire in Joshua Tree on Wednesday (February 23). According to Battalion Chief Bob Evans, crews were dispatched to the area of Baseline and Sunfair just before 2 a.m. for a well-involved mobile home actively burning to the ground with an exposure to a nearby vehicle. Access was difficult however crews were able to extend lines and extinguish the fire quickly, within roughly 30 minutes. A bystander reported that the mobile home appeared to be unoccupied and there were no displaced residents. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
