Yucca Valley firefighters were called to a fire at the Vons grocery store late Tuesday night. About 11:30 p.m., passers-by reported a significant amount of smoke rising from the Vons store, but firefighters determined the blaze was actually in a dumpster behind the store. It was quickly extinguished and the cause is unknown.
