DUI OFF-ROAD VEHICLE RIDER INJURED WHEN HE FALLS OFF

A Twentynine Palms man out riding his Quad off-road vehicle Tuesday morning near Desert Queen Road and Samarkand Drive was arrested Tuesday morning, accused of driving under the influence. According to a Sheriff’s report, shortly after 9 a.m., Maurice Dixon, 58, was riding his quad when he fell off. Suspected injuries include broken ribs and a punctured lung. Maurice Dixon was arrested for investigation of driving under the influence and cite released at Hi-Desert Medical Center due to his injuries.
