DUI CHECKPOINT IN TWENTYNINE PALMS FRIDAY

838 cars were stopped and three tickets written at a Twentynine Palms DUI/Driver’s license checkpoint Friday night. Sheriff’s Corporal Steve Everhart said the checkpoint was held from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. at State Route 62 and Larrea, stopping westbound drivers. One ticket was written for driving without a license, one for driving without a license in possession, and one for possession of marijuana.
