DRUGS AND WARRANTS LEAD TO ARREST OF A YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Saturday after she was found hiding in her home with drugs. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies went to the 7600 block of Cherokee Trail about 12:40 p.m. to serve an arrest warrant on Cheri Gilson, 40, who was wanted for forgery and burglary. Deputies discovered Gilson hiding inside a bathroom at the rear of the home, with drug paraphernalia found in the bathroom’s trash can. During a cavity search, deputies found amphetamine hidden in her body. Cheri Gilson was arrested for investigation of possession of a controlled substance and for her warrants, booked at the Morongo Basin Jail, with her total bail set at $105,000.
