DON’T FALL FOR FEDEX SCAM

FedEx is warning residents about a new scam. Managing editor Tami Roleff has more information to avoid being taken in by this new phishing scam…

Some people have reported they’ve received a text message that appears to be from FedEx. The message has a tracking code and recipients are urged to enter their delivery preferences. If you receive this text, don’t go to the link, as it’s a fraudulent, scammer-operated site that will try to get your personal information and separate you from your money. FedEx said in a statement, “FedEx does not send unsolicited text messages or emails to customers requesting money or package or personal information. Any suspicious text messages or emails should be deleted without being opened, and reported to [email protected].”
