DONNA MUNOZ ANNOUNCES HER CANDIDACY FOR COUNTY SUPERVISOR

In a stunning, live announcement on this morning’s Z107.7 Up Close Show long-time community activist and civic leader Donna Munoz told host Gary
Daigneault she aims to win the County Board of Supervisor’s 3rd District seat currently held by James Ramos in the November 2016 election. Reporter
Mike Lipsitz files this follow-up to the announcement…

No stranger to county administration, Donna Munoz has served as field representative for three county supervisors, including Ramos. She has served
as assistant county assessor, sat on the Morongo Unified School District Board of Education, and is presently General Manager for the Morongo Valley
Community Services District. Munoz said “(she) knows what it takes to be county supervisor. You have to get out there and connect with people face to face.” The 3rd District stretches from Morongo Basin to Big Bear plus includes Yucaipa, Redlands, Highland, and Barstow. Munoz talked of a network of supporters throughout the district. What is abundantly clear is that more than Donna Munoz’ contacts, vision, and proven record, supporters will have to dig deep to compete with the power of Ramos’ vast personal wealth. Full disclosure, this reporter was also employed as a field rep for the current supervisor.
