Donna Johnson, a 55-year resident of Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms, died February 8; she was 75 years old. Donna Johnson is survived by her husband, Kent Johnson of Yucca Valley, and three sons, Douglas and David Newland, and Mark LeDrew. She had 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Donna Johnson retired after serving as a nurse at Hi-Desert Medical center for 52 years. A celebration of life for Donna Johnson is set for 10 a.m. March 9 at Hi-Desert Medical Center with pastor Wayne Morrow of Desert Hills Presbyterian Church officiating. Donna Johnson was proud of her service as a nurse at the 1984 Olympics and her volunteer service to Soroptimists of Twentynine Palms, Morongo Basin Haven, Unity Home, and as a church elder. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
