The Hi-Desert Dust Devils 4-H Club is a Morongo Basin group that’s part of an international youth program that encourages kids to reach their full potential through leadership and agricultural activities. Managing editor Tami Roleff says club members are asking for the public’s help…
Twice a year, in the spring and fall, the Hi-Desert Dust Devils 4-H Club holds its Clover Days, an event where the club members bring their projects—like cows, goats, lambs, and dogs—to Tractor Supply in Yucca Valley and greet and talk to residents. Shoppers would be asked for donations to help the club travel to Washington, D.C. Due to COVID-19, the club members will not be hanging out at Tractor Supply to show off their projects, and so they will be missing out on a prime opportunity to raise funds for their trip. However, residents can still make donations to the 4-H Club when they go to Tractor Supply. Through October 18, the store will be collecting donations at the registers for the club to help reduce its costs. Club members ask Morongo Basin residents to donate what they can to help them go to Washington, D.C.
