Landers’ youngest residents will return to school in a couple weeks, which means it’s time to start gathering school supplies to donate to those who are in need. Reporter Rebecca Havely has how you can help…
Donations are now being accepted for Landers Elementary School students who are going back to school next month. Without your donations, even the most basic supplies might be paid for out of teachers’ pockets or the kids will do without. Needed are pens and markers, paper, notebooks, rulers, scissors, and glue; you name it, they need it. Cash is also welcome. Drop your donations at the hall on Reche Road during the Tuesday quilt club from 10 to 2; Thursday bingo from 12:30 to 1:30, or during Thrift Shoppe hours Fridays and Saturdays from 10 to 3.
