DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN YUCCA VALLEY AND JOSHUA TREE

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Sunday, after his ex-girlfriend said he pushed and punched her. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 6300 block of Richard Drive in Yucca Valley about 10:40 p.m. Sunday. The victim said Aiden Stockman, 20, was arguing with her, and when she tried to de-escalate the argument by walking away, he pushed and punched her, giving her a black eye and scratches on her face. Aiden Stockman was arrested at Hi-Desert Medical Center where he went to get his hand stitched up, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

A Joshua Tree woman was arrested late Saturday night, after she hit her roommate with a plastic crate. Shortly before 11 p.m., deputies were called to the 6900 block of Easterly Drive because Cathy Amparan, 64, was arguing with her roommate, who told deputies Amparan threw a plastic crate at her, which hit her in the eye. After an investigation, Cathy Amparan was arrested on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a cohabitant/spouse. Cathy Amparan was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $50,000.
